About the Show

Film Screening Added!

Join us for a screening of Sam Mendes’ award-winning 2019 British World War I film 1917, with a special appearance by Team Deakins — legendary cinematographer and film production experts Sir Roger Deakins and James Deakins. The Deakins will be on-site before the screening for a live recording of their acclaimed Team Deakins Podcast. The podcast explores cinematography, the film business, and answers questions from listeners, often leading to unexpected and fascinating conversations.

For this live episode, they’ll be joined by Chicago-based location scout Stefan Nikolov, who will share his experience and insights into this lesser-known but crucial aspect of filmmaking, and together with Roger and James, they’ll dive into the challenges and rewards of working in the industry. All ticketholders will have the opportunity to submit questions for Team Deakins and Stefan Nikolov. Look out for an email with submission instructions!

About 1917: “April 6th, 1917. As an infantry battalion assembles to wage war deep in enemy territory, two soldiers are assigned to race against time and deliver a message that will stop 1,600 men from walking straight into a deadly trap.”

Dante 360

Midway upon the journey of our life, I found myself within a forest dark, for the straightforward pathway had been lost.”

And so we all begin—in darkness.

Join Dante on his most famous journey through the depths of hell, levels upon levels of purgatory, finally discovering the light and glory of paradise. You will find terror in the wild beasts he meets along the way; and only moments later great hope at the strong woman, Beatrice, who leads him always upwards.

This contemporary staged performances of one of the most epic stories of the western world is an immersive, multi-dimensional production that leads you into Dantes universe. Returning to the stage for the 4th year, this year’s production.

Its heaven. It’s hell. But above all, it’s worth the trip.
