Stefan Nikolov

Stefan Nikolov is a Chicago-based Film Location Manager. Born in Bulgaria to
journalist parents, he spent 16 years living in Cuba, Spain, and Mexico with his family.
In 1994, he moved to Chicago and enrolled in Columbia College Chicago’s film
program, graduating in 1996.
Stefan began his film career as an intern in the Locations Department on the
feature film Mercury Rising and went on to work in various roles, including location
scout, before becoming a Location Manager. His credits include major Hollywood
blockbusters such as Transformers and Jupiter Ascending, as well as TV series like
Shameless and Justified: City Primeval.
In 2022, Stefan received the International Managers Guild International Award for
his work on Station Eleven. He is currently working on Neagley, a spin-off of the TV
series Reacher, set to film in Chicago in May.
Stefan lives in Deerfield, Illinois, with his wife and two children.
