Rolando Villazón was born on February 22, 1972 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.
He is known for his work on Joyeux Noel (2005), La Bohème (2008) and Live from Lincoln Center (1976). The son of a Columbia Records employee, Rolando met Lucia, his future wife when they were teenagers. The rising star tenor considered becoming both a priest and a history teacher.
