One humanitarian heart created an Empire of Hope.
From the team that produced Bella, the not yet titled film “Cabrini” is a visually stunning story of hope and purpose — a story that too few know.
From a young age, Executive Producer, Eustace Wolfington has been inspired by the life and example of Frances Cabrini. Cabrini’s story is an inspiring testament to the human spirit and all things good in the world. It is a thought-provoking example of overcoming prejudice, striving to care for others and the power of doing the right things for the right reasons—against all odds. What could be a more potent and timely message for this time in our history. Frances Cabrini was one of the most successful entrepreneurs of the American Gilded Age, who began with nothing, created the largest multinational charitable empire the world had ever known, was equal in accomplishment to Vanderbilt and Rockefeller—and happened to be a woman, an Italian immigrant, and a nun without a penny to her name.
The film charts the meteoric rise of an astonishing and audacious woman who – through her relentless perseverance, business skill and unswerving faith—overcame the sexism
of the Church, and the virulent anti-Italian bigotry of 19th-century America, to build schools, orphanages and hospitals that transformed the lives of immigrants worldwide.
This is an opportunity to view a world-class, award-caliber film that will bring international attention to an extraordinary woman whose story deserves to be widely
known. The movie explores many of today’s most important issues—immigration, women’s leadership, bigotry and faith—and does so in a narrative filled with vibrant characters and mass appeal.
“Cabrini” is a powerful, inspirational movie that speaks to our time—a time that more than ever needs the example of this unstoppable woman.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and a cocktail reception. This is an invitation only event, you may bring a guest. Registration for you and your guest is required, please RSVP by November 7th .
