About the Show

Start the new year off with a bang and join us for three local bands for a night of great music! Instead of staying in on a cold January Sunday evening why not warm up by the hot tunes of Chicago bands? We’ll have mocktails and coffee for those observing dry January and cocktails, beer, and wine for those who aren’t. At only $10 a ticket, you can’t afford not to come! And remember, we always have free parking.

The Line Up:

6:30 pm Ab Lag
Forming a band through Reddit may sound like a one-sentence horror story, but by a stroke of luck it worked for Ab Lag. Named after the singer, the tetrad of musicians combine their unique life experiences to create melodic rock for people who yearn. With influences like Radiohead, Paramore, The Strokes, and Incubus, Ab Lag provides a unique blend of genre that isn’t heard at every show.

7:30 pm The 132s
The 132s are an indie band, formed by Elijah and JP, writing and performing original music as a guitar and piano duo. With music that includes elements of rock, blues, neo-classical, instrumental and vocals, The 132s are nerdy, fun-loving music makers. Follow them at instagram.com/the132s

8:30 pm Kacie Brown and the Vision
Kacie Brown, a Chicago-based vocalist and frontwoman of Kacie Brown & The Vision, blends sultry, soulful, and romantic tones in her neo-soul sound. Drawing comparisons to Minnie Riperton, Jill Scott, and Erykah Badu, her music delves into love, passion, personal struggles, and hope. Raised in Buffalo and shaped by her time at Columbia College, Kacie formed her band, The Vision, which includes pianist Miles Pretel, guitarists Chris Ihrig and Stephen Ryan, bassist Sam Nesin, and drummer William Penne. Together, they craft a unique sound that blends neo-soul and pop influences.

Their live performances, ranging from intimate Sofar shows to high-energy sets at venues like The Metro and Cobra Lounge, have earned praise for their chemistry and emotive impact. With her latest single “Love” and upcoming debut project, Kacie Brown & The Vision continue to push creative boundaries while staying true to their soulful roots. They aim to expand their reach beyond Chicago, fostering community and inspiring their audience through music.

Dante 360

Midway upon the journey of our life, I found myself within a forest dark, for the straightforward pathway had been lost.”

And so we all begin—in darkness.

Join Dante on his most famous journey through the depths of hell, levels upon levels of purgatory, finally discovering the light and glory of paradise. You will find terror in the wild beasts he meets along the way; and only moments later great hope at the strong woman, Beatrice, who leads him always upwards.

This contemporary staged performances of one of the most epic stories of the western world is an immersive, multi-dimensional production that leads you into Dantes universe. Returning to the stage for the 4th year, this year’s production.

Its heaven. It’s hell. But above all, it’s worth the trip.
