Originally from Chicago, Katie has an M.F.A. in Acting and a B.A. in Theatre Arts. She has performed, directed and taught in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Tennessee. Favorite roles include Ruth (A Mislaid Heaven), Lindsey (Sister Calling My Name), Maggie (Dancing at Lughnasa), Dogberry (Much Ado about Nothing), Henrietta Leavitt (Silent Sky), Mary Bennett (Miss Bennett: Christmas at Pemberley), and Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady). She is the author of “Amidst Darkness,” a one woman show inspired by Mother Teresa’s dark night of the soul. Katie has six beautiful children (10 months to 11 years old) with her incredibly supportive husband, Danny. She is excited to be sharing the stage with her sister Laura (Ismene). She wants to thank her family, the cast, and crew, for their dedication, diligence, and support. Thank YOU for supporting truth, beauty, and goodness through the arts!
