Denise Smolarek

Denise Smolarek is a Chicago-based film actor and theatre artist with a background in teaching. She is thrilled to have this opportunity to work with Storm Theatre as she makes her return to live in-person stage work. Denise’s theatre credits include roles in Diary of Anne Frank (Metropolis Performing Arts Center), Come Blow Your Horn (Oil Lamp Theater), Bicycle Thieves (Littlebrain Theatre), and touring performances of Goliath (Akvavit Theatre) and Defamation Experience (Canamac Productions). She directed All Mixed Up (Barely Concealed Productions) and The Water Children (A Cuckoo’s Theatre Project) as well as several online short plays and scenes (Women’s Theatre Alliance, Barely Concealed Productions), and will lead a reading of Bandera, Texas (Transformation Theatre) this summer. Denise also enjoys film acting. Watch for her in Now I See, a crime drama soon to be released from Anthem Entertainment.
