Both an academic and a working musician, Cutler (with his band, Colin Cutler and Hot Pepper Jam) has performed at Merlefest, Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival, and the North Carolina Folk Festival, and has presented at the Catholic Imagination Conference, Romanian National Museum of Literature, Notre Dame University, and Greensboro Bound Literary Festival.
