About the Show

Progressive Rock Guitarist Paul Bielatowicz Brings Multimedia Production of 1922 Silent Horror Film Nosferatu to Chicago Stage

Paul Bielatowicz’s Nosferatu Live is a multimedia musical experience that breathes new life into the iconic 1922 silent horror film. Bielatowicz, an English accomplished composer and musician, has recorded and toured with some of the biggest names in progressive rock including Carl Palmer, Dream Theater, Yes, and more.

He describes himself as ‘a classical pianist trapped in a rock guitarist’s body’ and pours his passion for music into the dizzying array of instruments he plays on stage. The live event will exhilarate audiences as he is joined on stage by Michael Dutko (Gary Hoey) on bass and Leah Bluestein (Eagles of Death Metal) on drums.  The mesmerizing multimedia production is further enhanced with virtual all-star guest appearances on three video screens including: Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater); Arthur Brown (Crazy World of Arthur Brown); Dave Bainbridge (Strawbs, Iona); Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (Guns ‘n Roses, Sons of Apollo, Asia); Peter Zay (New Bedford Symphony Orchestra); and Simon Fitzpatrick (ELP Legacy, Jennifer Batten).

Produced by Tim Gingras and TG Productions LLC, the Chicago premiere on Halloween weekend features a new, original score and production created and performed by Bielatowicz

Bielatowicz has toured the live soundtrack and classic film since 2021, and according to producer, writer and actor, Gingras, “At live performances in October 2022 and 2023, he received standing ovations and I’m incredibly proud to bring this experience to my sweet home, Chicago.”

Intentionally embracing the eerie holiday weekend performance, the all-ages audience is encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes.

Dante 360

Midway upon the journey of our life, I found myself within a forest dark, for the straightforward pathway had been lost.”

And so we all begin—in darkness.

Join Dante on his most famous journey through the depths of hell, levels upon levels of purgatory, finally discovering the light and glory of paradise. You will find terror in the wild beasts he meets along the way; and only moments later great hope at the strong woman, Beatrice, who leads him always upwards.

This contemporary staged performances of one of the most epic stories of the western world is an immersive, multi-dimensional production that leads you into Dantes universe. Returning to the stage for the 4th year, this year’s production.

Its heaven. It’s hell. But above all, it’s worth the trip.
