About the Show

Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers

Opening Act: CARM

Bruce Hornsby has built one of the most diverse, collaborative and adventurous careers in contemporary music. Drawing from a vast wellspring of American musical traditions, the singer/pianist/composer/bandleader has created a large and accomplished body of work and employed a vast array of stylistic approaches. Throughout this period, Hornsby has maintained the integrity, virtuosity and artistic curiosity that have been hallmarks of his work from the start. Hornsby has had a distinctly unique career since his debut with The Range on their multi-platinum 1986 album “The Way It Is”. He has steered his way through a stint on keyboards for the Grateful Dead, writing music for Spike Lee’s films, and albums exploring jazz, bluegrass and contemporary classical music.

Bruce Hornsby is on a roll. After taking the music world by surprise with his wide-ranging, critically acclaimed 2019 album “Absolute Zero”, the singer, songwriter, composer and bandleader returns with a follow-up that picks up where its predecessor left off. “Non-Secure Connection” features 10 new songs exploring a broad range of themes, from civil rights to computer hackers, mall salesmen to the Darwinian aspects of AAU basketball.

Critical Praise

“Few contemporary music men have embraced the role of American troubadour like Bruce Hornsby.”
— Pitchfork
“[Bruce Hornsby] has embraced the constant evolution of his musical style throughout his career, experimenting with jazz, classical and even country…[his new music] is an embodiment of this constant motion, spiraling into whatever creative vision Hornsby has next.”
— NPR Weekend Edition
“One way for a songwriter to invigorate a long career is to keep breaking routines, to change up methods and parameters and solve different puzzles with every album. It’s a modus operandi that has carried Bruce Hornsby from radio hits in the 1980s through bluegrass, jazz, a stint in the Grateful Dead and, lately, collaborations with a younger generation.”
— The New York Times

Dante 360

Midway upon the journey of our life, I found myself within a forest dark, for the straightforward pathway had been lost.”

And so we all begin—in darkness.

Join Dante on his most famous journey through the depths of hell, levels upon levels of purgatory, finally discovering the light and glory of paradise. You will find terror in the wild beasts he meets along the way; and only moments later great hope at the strong woman, Beatrice, who leads him always upwards.

This contemporary staged performances of one of the most epic stories of the western world is an immersive, multi-dimensional production that leads you into Dantes universe. Returning to the stage for the 4th year, this year’s production.

Its heaven. It’s hell. But above all, it’s worth the trip.
