Putting Faith into Action: Becoming Builders of a Better World – VIRTUAL EVENT

September 28, 2022
6:30 PM

About the Show

The world as we once knew it is now a different place. We have been upended, living and working quite differently. The impact on our city, on our communities, on each of us, is unique. How does that shape how we respond to the call to serve, learn and grow? How have the needs of our neighbors changed? How have our needs changed? How can we, today, be “builders of a better world?”

You are invited to join us for this Catholic Charities St. Martin de Porres Society event – an invigorating conversation with Father James Martin and Sally Blount, President and CEO of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago, about how each of us should think about the major issues of our day and put our faith into action. Whether you’re a longtime partner or new to the Catholic Charities community, all are welcome to this online conversation to help catalyze a call to service.

Please RSVP to reserve your spot. A link to the virtual event will be emailed to all registrants on Monday, September 26.

Please also join us in-person on Oct. 3rd for a special St. Martin De Porres reception after the Ross Douthat event, register here.

About St. Martin de Porres Society

The St. Martin de Porres Society is a forum for dialogue and debate at the intersection of economic growth, social justice, the mission of Charity, and the practice of mercy. It serves as a convener of partners, advocates, and champions of Catholic Charities and our broader community, providing opportunities for intellectual discovery and deep conversation about the needs of our region, nation, and world, and the power of faith in meeting those needs. Together, we can inspire each other to live our faith in new ways, through greater education, regular service with intention, and advocacy on behalf of our neighbors in need.
